First Eye Concept is a group of young and Dynamic Nigerians who seek to uphold the legacy of the world acclaimed dramatist and playwright, Late Duro Ladipo. The Late Duro Ladipo captured the symbolic spirit of the Yoruba race in such an intriguing way in different parts of the world. He is best known for his plays, ”Öba koso”, “Obamoro” (1962) and “Oba Waja (1964)”. His works range from Photography to Theatre Arts, Television and Cinema
First Eye Concept represents the forerunner of Cultural rejuvenation that preserves the values and ethics of Yoruba Cultural Heritage all around the world in bringing together different aesthetics of cultural creativity through exchange.
Our Cultural Exchange Program’s goal is to promote the value of African culture and specifically Yoruba heritage. The program in Dallas has attracted over 500 attendees that crossed cultural lines, including veteran artists, traditional rulers and lovers of culture from both United States and Africa.
We are excited to continue our program for the fifth year with a partnership with the City of Chicago Cultural Affairs and Special Events as well as others in support of arts exchange programs to present the 5th Yoruba Cultural Exchange Festival.
